Jana Kramer is a country singer, songwriter and actor that made her name known on television when she was cast as Alex on One Tree Hill for the final three seasons. The series featured her first albums as country music and helped propel her debut album, named after her, into the Billboard 200's Top 20. Thirty One (2015), the album that followed it in 2015, was also in the Top Ten. The decade came to an end with appearances in Dancing with the Stars, TV films and non-album singles. In 2021, The Self-doubting Voices came out. Jana Rae Kramer, born in Rochester Hills Michigan and raised there by her parents, Jana David and Rae Kramer grew to love country music. In the future, she was interested in music, but it was her first job as an actor beginning in 2002 on the independent horror flick Dead/Undead while still in her teenage years. After a few guest appearances for All My Children and CSI: NY, she landed a recurring role as Noelle Davenport in NBC's Friday Night Lights' second season 2007,-2008. Kramer was Portia in 90210's 2008-2009 season and Brooke in Entourage 2009. In 2009, she became Alex Dupre in CW One Tree Hill. Kramer continued to be a part of the show until the halfway point of the show's final season in 2012. Jana Kramer Kramer's run on One Tree Hill saw her signing a contract for a single with Elektra Records. In 2011 she debuted the contemporary country love song, I Won't Let Go. The track later appeared on her full-length debut Jana Kramer in mid-2012. It landed in the Top Five of the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. To appeal to her huge fan base she continued her acting in films such Heart of the Country 2013 and Country Crush 2016. Kramer's second album Thirty One was released by Warner Music Nashville on October 15, 2015. I Got the Boy (a Top Five Country hit) as well as Steven Tyler's duet with Aerosmith helped the album reach it's place on the Billboard 200 chart at number 10. The album also climbed to third on the chart of country album sales. Starting in September 2016 she stayed for two months participating in season 23 of Dancing with the Stars, and finished with a fourth position. It was also the year that she scored a big adult contemporary smash, courtesy of her track Feels Like Christmas with Straight No Chaser.
